1 Day Uganda Gorilla Tour

Tailored 1-Day Uganda gorilla tour to Bwindi Forest starting and ending in Kigali Rwanda with African Apes Tours. Fly into Kigali Rwanda and trek gorillas in Uganda in the shortest time available. You will depart from Kigali at 3:30 am and drive for 5 hours to Bwindi Forest in Uganda via Cyanika border in Kisoro or Katuna border in Kabale depending on which sector of Bwindi you are visiting. Arrive in Bwindi at 7:00 am and join other travelers for a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. The trek to meet the endangered gorillas starts at 8:00 am and may last between 2 to 8 hours depending on where the allocated gorilla family will be that day.

Also, the trekking time depends on the hiking speed of the slowest person in your group. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the gorilla family, take pictures and enjoy the company of your close relatives. Thereafter, hike back, meet your driver-guide and transfer back to Kigali for an overnight or your connecting flight at Kigali airport. Bwindi Forest is home to half of the world’s total gorilla population with 17 gorilla families habituated for trekking.
