Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National park
You will have an early pick up from Kilimanjaro International airport or your hotel in Arusha city and drive to Tarangire National park. The drive will last for roughly 3 hours hence you will reach Tarangire at Lunchtime. Spend the rest of that day chilling and gazing at the beauty of Tarangire National Park at the balcony of your lodge
Day 2: Game Viewing & Nature Walk
The great day of meeting wild animals in Tarangire Park is finally here. Rise up early and drive to the savannah and woodland areas of Tarangire National park to meet up with wild animals rising up. Wild animals are very active in the morning and it’s hence the best time for game viewing. You will see a variety of wild animals which include Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Giraffes, Zebras, waterbucks, Impalas, Elands, Wildebeest, Hippos, and cheetahs among others. Return to the lodge and have a late breakfast and you wait for lunch. In the evening, go for a nature walk through the baobab trees which shelter numerous vervet and olive monkeys plus numerous bird species.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National park – Evening game drive
After morning breakfast, check out and transfer to Serengeti National park, the most visited tourism destination in Tanzania. Depart from Tarangire and drive for roughly 5 hours to Serengeti National Park located in the Mara and Simuyu regions. Having relaxed at the lodge, you will go for an evening game drive for game viewing
Day 4: Full day in Serengeti
You will spend this whole day exploring the beauty of Serengeti National Park. Go game driving in the endless plains of this beautiful Park which shelters the highest number of wild animals. Among the wild animals in Serengeti National park include Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Buffalos, Wildebeests, Zebras, Bushbucks, waterbucks, Topis, Elands, Dik-dik, and Nile crocodiles among others. Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater – Olduvai Gorge
Have breakfast, check out, and transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive time between these two national parks is roughly 2 hours. Check into your lodge and refresh. After lunch embark on a drive to the Olduvai gorge where the remains of the oldest of mankind were discovered. You will meet various wild animals, feeding and socializing in the wilderness.
Day 6: Morning game viewing & Departure
Rise up very early and drive to Ngorongoro crater for game viewing. The guided game drives in the park offer you great views of wild animals grazing, browsing while predators hunt down other animals. Among the animals in Ngorongoro Conservation Area include Lions, Hippos, waterbucks, Bushbucks, Elephants, Wildebeests, and Eland among others. Have heavy breakfast and early lunch at the lodge, check out and drive to Arusha for your connecting flight.
